Job summary

Bimbo Bakeries USA is hiring a Shipping Associate in the New York area. The role involves loading and unloading trailers, verifying loads, and maintaining accurate records.

You will operate material handling equipment and troubleshoot packing lines while working nights and weekends. The position offers great starting pay at $23.00 per hour and full benefits including Medical, Dental, Vision and a Retirement Plan.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age or older.
• 1-3 years of shipping experience preferred.
• Ability to lift, push/pull up to 50 lbs, stack/unstack or carry, stand and/or stoop for prolonged periods.
• Comfortable in a warm working environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.
• Ability to work Nights, Weekends & Holidays.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload trailers accurately, verify route loads, trailer reports, and shipping yard maintenance.
• Count and verify products for accuracy and quality; maintain records and report discrepancies.
• Operate material handling equipment including pallet jack and forklift.
• Troubleshoot issues with packing equipment, label machines, tapers, palletizers, etc.

What you will be doing:

• Responsible for accurately loading and unloading trailers, verifying route load(s), trailer reports, and maintaining the shipping yard.


• Count and check products for accuracy and quality, maintain accurate records, report overages and shortages, & participate in \"Cycle Counts\".
