Flowers Baking Co. of Bradenton, LLC in Sarasota, FL is seeking a shipping associate to load/unload products and verify shipments according to schedules. The role involves heavy lifting and moving up to 400 pounds on a daily basis, with up to 300 feet distances, and requires attentiveness to safety and quality.

• Performance of other duties which are deemed by management to be an integral part of the job, including but not limited to fulfillment of work schedules, adherence to attendance policies, and other applicable operating rules, policies and procedures.

Bringing Home the Dough

Fills orders, counts, loads, and unloads product on incoming trailers according to the shipping schedule.

Position requires demonstration of competency for all on-the-job activities that may have a direct or indirect effect on product safety, legality and/or quality.

Role is very physical and requires the ability to exert the force necessary to use a hand truck to transport stacked products weighing up to 400 pounds a distance of up to 300 feet continuously throughout the day into and out of transport trucks, up and down 30-degree slopes. Role also requires the ability to stoop, bend, and lift product containers weighing 20 pounds from floor level up to 7-1/2 feet.
