Description

Miller Edge is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Shipping Associate I to join our team. This position is responsible for preparing, assembling, and verifying outgoing shipments of products. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills, the ability to work both independently and within a team, and a commitment to maintaining high safety and quality standards.

Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
  • Wraps, labels, and identifies products as required.
  • Stacks and arranges materials, packing items securely in boxes.
  • Assembles orders and prepares goods for shipment.
  • Uses shipping records to verify accuracy of outgoing shipments and orders.
  • Processes domestic and international shipments using M2M, UPS, or FedEx carrier software.
  • Cuts channel material daily based on Sales Order requirements using a chop saw.
  • Builds custom shipping skids using hand tools including hammers, nails, drills, and saws.
  • Pulls material and miscellaneous parts from stock for sales and verifies order quantities.
  • Operates tape and banding machines; palletizes boxes and verifies shipment contents.
  • Prepares shipping boxes using an air tool staple gun.
  • Loads trucks and operates equipment such as dollies, pallet jacks, and forklifts.
  • Schedules truck pickups and maintains shipping documentation.
  • Documents issues related to shipments, bills of lading, or damaged goods.
  • Maintains cleanliness and organization of the work area; disposes of trash, cardboard, and pallets.
  • Complies with all company health and safety regulations.
  • Performs other duties as assigned in support of the manufacturing and shipping process.
