Job summary

Charcuterie in Rhode Island is seeking a Shipping Associate to handle, package, and ship finished goods in a USDA-inspected facility. You will ensure accurate movement of products while maintaining safety and compliance.

Responsibilities include labeling, scanning, weighing pallets, operating pallet jacks, and documenting shipments. The role requires English proficiency and the ability to work in a refrigerated environment.

Qualifications

  • Ability to speak, read, and understand English.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office); inventory experience is a plus.
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a refrigerated environment (45–55°F) for the entire shift.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs throughout the shift.
  • Prior experience in shipping/receiving or warehouse operations is a plus.
  • Forklift certification is a plus but not required.
  • Work is in a cold, fast-paced production and warehouse environment.
  • Physical activity including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
  • May require overtime or weekend shifts depending on operational needs.
  • Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is mandatory.

Job description

Schedule: Mon-Fri 6:15am-2:45pm, occasional Saturdays as needed

The Shipping Associate is responsible for handling, packaging, and shipping finished goods and materials in a USDA-inspected food manufacturing facility. This role ensures timely and accurate movement of products while maintaining safety, cleanliness, and compliance with company and regulatory standards.
