Job summary

Charcuterie Artisans in Rhode Island is seeking a Shipping Associate to handle, package, and ship finished goods in a USDA-inspected facility. The role focuses on accurate inventory movement, safety, and compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.

You will print labels, scan boxes, operate pallet jacks, and maintain shipping docs while working in a cold environment. Overtime or weekends may be required; forklift experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior shipping, receiving or warehouse experience a plus.
• Forklift certification a plus but not required.

Schedule: Mon-Fri 6:15am-2:45pm, occasional Saturdays as needed

The Shipping Associate is responsible for handling, packaging, and shipping finished goods and materials in a USDA-inspected food manufacturing facility. This role ensures timely and accurate movement of products while maintaining safety, cleanliness, and compliance with company and regulatory standards.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Print labels

• Label boxes

• Scan boxes into system

• Weigh finished pallets and document for BOL’s

• Handle and move packaged goods safely and efficiently.

• Build and ship sample and customer orders according to specifications.

• Perform general cleaning and maintain a sanitary work environment.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Ability to speak, read, and understand English.

• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.

• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office); inventory experience is a plus.

• Good organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to work in a refrigerated environment (45–55°F) for the entire shift.

• Ability to stand, walk, andlift upto 50lbsthroughout the shift.

• Knowledge of product safety and food handling standards preferred.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

• Prior experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations is a plus.

• Forklift certification is a plus but notrequired.

Working Conditions:

• Work is performed in a cold, fast-pacedproductionand warehouse environment.

• Requires physical activity including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.

• May require overtime or weekend shifts depending on operational needs.

• Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is mandatory.

$18.32 - $18.32 an hour
