Job summary

Dover Fueling Solutions (DFS) is seeking a Shipping Associate in Livonia, MI to efficiently pick, pack, and ship parts for manufacturing and distribution. You will read technical prints, verify parts, and use UPS/DataWorks for labeling while maintaining inventory accuracy.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in a shipping, receiving, or warehouse role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to read and comprehend technical prints, work instructions, manuals, and other written correspondence.
  • Experience with basic hand tools (saws, hammers, drills, etc.).
  • Proficiency with basic computer systems and inventory management software.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy under pressure.
  • Strong communication skills, delivering thoughts and ideas clearly both written and verbally.
  • Experience operating powered industrial trucks (e.g. forklifts).

Responsibilities

  • Pick, pull, and pack customer orders for shipment.
  • Pull parts from inventory based on customer orders.
  • Review technical prints to verify part specifications before processing for shipment.
  • Photograph items prior to packaging to ensure quality control and documentation standards.
  • Ensure orders are safely packed to prevent damage during transit.
  • Accurately enter shipment data and generate labels using shipping software systems such as UPS, DataWorks, and other logistics platforms.
  • Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records by verifying quantities during the picking and packing process.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols and practices.
  • Coordinate with production, sales, and logistics teams to ensure timely order fulfillment.
  • Collaborate with team members to identify process improvements and increase efficiency

Shipping Associate responsibilities include:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Experience with basic hand tools (saws, hammers, drills, etc.)

This position is eligible to earn a discretionary bonus based on performance metrics and other criteria outlined in our applicable bonus plan.
