Job summary

Dover Fueling Solutions (DFS) in De Pere, WI, is seeking an electro-mechanical assembler to perform complete assembly and packaging of pumps and related equipment with accuracy and timeliness.

You will read blueprints, use hand and power tools, and follow standard operating procedures while keeping a clean work area and contributing to team-based continuous improvement. A high school diploma and basic technical training are preferred; Oracle and MS Office experience is a plus.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Technical training or experience preferred.
  • Blueprint reading skills preferred.
  • Experience with hand and power tools preferred.
  • Computer proficiency with Word and Excel preferred.
  • Prior experience using Oracle preferred.
  • Prior hands-on experience with electrical components preferred.
  • Ability to accurately interpret point-to-point wiring schematics.

Responsibilities

  • Follow all safety and PPE requirements per established company policies.
  • Utilize and maintain established inventory systems, such as Kanban or Vendor Managed Inventory.
  • Operate basic hand and power tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to read and understand blueprints.
  • Assemble assigned products per blueprint, work instruction, or Team Leader’s directions.
  • Demonstrated ability to follow nonconformance procedures; basic Oracle usage.
  • Demonstrate competency working in one department.
  • Communicate and coordinate part shortages with Supervisors.
  • Maintain a neat and clean work area utilizing 6-S program.
  • Contribute proactively to a team oriented, continuous improvement environment.

Summary

Complete electro-mechanical assembly and packaging of pumps, bridges, dryers, electrical components and related equipment in an accurate and timely manner.

Responsibilities
  • Follow all safety and PPE requirements per established company policies.
  • Utilize and maintain established inventory systems, such as Kanban or Vendor Managed Inventory Demonstrated understanding of all established Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Operate basic hand and power tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to read and understand blueprints.
  • Assemble assigned products per blueprint, work instruction, or Team Leader’s Ability to comprehend job paperwork, order status reports, and checklists.
  • Demonstrated ability to follow nonconformance procedures Basic Oracle usage – looking up part numbers and locations.
  • Demonstrate competency working in one department.
  • Communicate and coordinate part shortages with Supervisors.
  • Maintain a neat and clean work area utilizing company established 6-S program.
  • Contribute proactively to a team oriented, continuous improvement environment.
Education Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • Applicable technical training or experience is preferred.
Experience Requirements
  • Blueprint reading skills are preferred.
  • Must possess strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Previous experience using hand and power tools is preferred.
  • Basic assembly skills and prior assembly experience is preferred.
  • Computer proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel is preferred.
  • Prior experience using Oracle is preferred.
  • Prior hands-on experience with electrical components is preferred.
  • Completion of basic electricity course is preferred.
  • Must possess the ability to accurately interpret point-to-point wiring schematics.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Quality Responsibilities
  • Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of any non-conformities relating to product, process and quality systems.
  • Identify and record any problems relating to the product, process and quality system.
  • Initiate, recommend or provide solutions through designated channels.
Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to normal office conditions like telephone, personal computer, reports and files. The employee will also be exposed to normal conditions of a manufacturing facility. The employee will be regularly required to talk or hear. The employee will also be required to stand for long periods of time. The employee will use his/her hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls and climb or balance and reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The employee will frequently lift, carry or otherwise move and position objects weighing up to 50 pounds regularly, and occasionally up to 70 pounds. When working on machinery, employee will bend, stoop and crouch on a regular basis and constantly move about to coordinate work. The employee is required to regularly set up, adjust, assemble, control, test and operate machinery.
