Job summary

Lakeshirts, inc. is seeking a Shipping Assistant to support the shipping operations. Under the Shipping Supervisor, you will receive orders, label boxes, enter orders, and prepare shipments to meet deadlines.

The role requires basic computer skills (Word, Excel), a valid driver’s license, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods. Prior shipping experience is a plus. This is a full-time, on-site position in Minnesota.

Qualifications

• Reliable, responsible, and able to take direction.
• Capable of performing repetitive tasks for several hours.
• Able to lift over 25 lbs frequently.
• Able to stand for 8–10 hours per day.
• Prior shipping experience preferred, but not required.
• Must be 18 or older.

Responsibilities

• Receive orders and determine pick-up or ship status.
• Determine shipping methods based on special needs (Air, COD, UPS, PP, RPS, Fed-Ex).
• Label boxes with PO's or packing slips, group designs for minimums.
• Enter orders in computer, record tracking numbers and apply UPS labels.
• Invoice orders and tape boxes.
• Deliver final shipments to the UPS office to meet deadlines.
• Load pick-up orders for customers.
• Read and understand work orders.
• Prepare and schedule LTL shipments.
• Generate customs invoices for international shipments.
• Organize workflow and keep the work area clean and orderly.
• Follow safety practices and resolve safety issues per OSHA standards.
• Work actively with others to get the job done.
• Other duties as assigned.

THE OPPORTUNITY:

Under the direction of the Shipping Supervisor, this position is responsible for assisting in the shipping of orders at Lakeshirts.

Schedule: Monday-Thursday 12pm-10pm

Pay: $17/hr

Essential Job Functions | Receive + Label + Order Entry + Invoice + Tape + Load + Deliver

• Receives orders and determines pick-up or ship status
• Upon checking for special needs, determines methods of shipping (Air, COD, UPS, PP, RPS, Fed-Ex)
• Labels boxes with PO's or packing slips, and groups designs if necessary for minimums
• Enters orders in computer, records tracking numbers and applies UPS labels
• Invoices orders and tapes boxes
• Delivers final shipments to the UPS office if necessary to meet deadlines
• Loads pick-up orders for the customers
• Reads and understands work orders
