CONNECTING ART, PRODUCT, AND PRODUCTION IN THE LICENSED COLLEGIATE SPACE
THE OPPORTUNITY:

If you pay attention to what people are wearing on campus and beyond, you've probably noticed how quickly product shows up. From everyday college pride to championship moments, none of it happens by by accident at Lakeshirts.

We create licensed collegiate apparel and headwear through our brands Blue 84 and Zephyr, serving campus stores and retailers across the country. Behind every design is a process that ensures artwork is on-brand, approved, and ready for production.

We're looking for a highly organized, detail-driven Creative Coordinator to support our Creative Directors and Line Artists in keeping that process moving.

In this role, you'll help manage the flow of artwork across licensed collegiate and co-branded programs, supporting everything from submissions and approvals to production setup. You'll work across teams to keep projects aligned, accurate, and on track.

This is an onsite position at our HQ in Detroit Lakes, with occasional travel to support tradeshow merchandising.

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9a-5p

Pay: $45,000 - $50,000 per year

WHAT YOU'LL DO | Coordinating + Proofing + Data Gathering + Cross-Functional Communication
  • Attend art reviews and collaborate with artists on revisions
  • Support co-brand development, including licensing submissions and art approvals
  • Proof new artwork for accuracy, including pricing, colors, placement, and sizing prior to production setup
  • Facilitate revisions to artwork that is not yet ready for production
  • Assist in onboarding and training new Line Artists and freelance artists on systems and processes
  • Contribute to weekly Rep Updates
  • Help guide art pack coordination and revisions across active projects
  • Gather and communicate product data for web releases and sample programs
  • Partner with Data Entry, Customer Service, and Art teams to align workloads
  • Help keep projects moving through each stage of the process
  • Identify opportunities to improve workflow and sample processes
  • Assist in preparing and proofing artwork for catalogs, flyers, and other marketing materials
  • Maintain showroom merchandising and organization
  • Attend trade shows and assist with booth merchandising
  • Prioritize daily workload based on timelines and deadlines
  • Contribute to team success through additional responsibilities as needed

  • 2- or 4-year Graphic Design or art-related degree preferred
  • Background in illustration and experience with Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop (or similar programs) preferred, with an understanding of the creative process from concept to final production
  • Interest in college sports and campus culture, with an understanding of what fans and students actually want to wear
  • Must love dogs (we kinda like them at our MN headquarters, and we hope you do, too)
