Job summary

Lakeshirts, inc. is seeking a Shipping Assistant to help with the daily shipping of orders. The role involves receiving orders, labeling shipments, entering data, and preparing packages for delivery.

Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and work Monday through Friday 8am-4pm. Ideal candidates have basic computer skills (Word/Excel), attention to detail, and a team-oriented mindset. Prior shipping experience is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Receive orders and determine pick-up or ship status.
• Enter orders in computer systems and record tracking numbers.
• Label boxes with PO numbers or packing slips and group designs when needed.
• Prepare and schedule LTL shipments and generate customs invoices for international shipments.
• Deliver final shipments to the UPS office if required to meet deadlines.

THE OPPORTUNITY

Under the direction of the Shipping Supervisor, this position is responsible for assisting in the shipping of orders at Lakeshirts.

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-4pm

Pay: $16-$18/hr

Essential Job Functions | Receive + Label + Order Entry + Invoice + Tape + Load + Deliver

• - Receives orders and determines pick-up or ship status
• - Upon checking for special needs, determines methods of shipping (Air, COD, UPS, PP, RPS, Fed-Ex)
• - Labels boxes with PO's or packing slips, and groups designs if necessary for minimums
• - Enters orders in computer, records tracking numbers and applies UPS labels
• - Invoices orders and tapes boxes
• - Delivers final shipments to the UPS office if necessary to meet deadlines
• - Loads pick-up orders for the customers
• - Reads and understands work orders
• - Prepares and schedules LTL shipments
• - Generates customs invoices for international shipments
• - Organizes work flow and k eeps work area clean and orderly
• - Follows safety practices. Identifies problems and resolves safety issues as they occur in accordance to OSHA standards
• - Works actively with others to get the job done
• - Other duties as assigned

• - Must be reliable, responsible and take direction well
• - Must be able to perform repetitive tasks for several hours
• - Must be able to lift over 25 lbs frequently
• - Ability to stand for 8-10 hours/day
• - Previous shipping experience preferred, but not required
• - Must be 18+
