Job summary

Lakeshirts, inc. is seeking a Kitter to coordinate the gathering of garments and screens, and to “kit” items for Screenprint Machine Operators at our Detroit Lakes, MN facility.

The role ensures each machine has the proper workflow and manages rush orders with accountability for timely completion. Responsibilities include organizing, delivering, and adjusting workflows, plus effective inter‑department communication and OSHA‑compliant safety practices.

Qualifications

• High school education is desirable but not required.
• Basic computer experience required: Excel, Word, tablet.
• Must be able to read and problem solve.
• Organization, with a solid understanding of efficient processes.
• Ability to work well in a team and think independently.
• Must be reliable, responsible and take direction well.
• Ability to stand for 8-10 hours a day.
• Handle multiple interruptions and follow through on questions or issues as they arise.
• Previous production experience preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Gather garments and screens for customer orders and kitting.

THE OPPORTUNITY

KITTING, NOT KITTEN. REMEMBER, WE'RE DOG PEOPLE. BUT CATS ARE OK.

Under the direction of the Screenprint Supervisor, this position is responsible for gathering garments and screens for individual orders and 'kitting' them to Screenprint Machine Operators. This position includes unboxes garments that were pulled from Inventory, and verifying screens associated with order, then using Lakeshirts systems to ensure each machine has the appropriate workflow. The Kitter helps determine workflow for machine operators, and is accountable for all rush orders that arise.

Schedule: Monday- Friday, 8am - 4pm

Monday- Thursday, 4pm - 2am

A Typical Day (job functions) | Gather + Organize + Kitt Work to the Flow

• Pair garments with associated screens for each customer order
• Deliver orders to machine operators
• Adjust daily workflow, according to supervisor's instructions
• Communicate effectively with other departments, as needed
• Rotate and work in areas as needed
• Follows safety practices. Identifies problems and works to resolve safety issues as they occur in accordance to OSHA standards
• Works actively with others to get the job done
• Other duties as assigned
