Job summary

BLACK DIAMOND COATINGS INC, known as BDC Brands, is hiring a Shipping Associate for our Dade City, FL warehouse. The role involves receiving products, picking, packing, labeling, and staging orders for carrier shipments on a full-time, on-site schedule.

You will operate labeling and boxing stations, handle forklifts for loading, and participate in cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy. A safe, team-oriented environment supports growth and reliability.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Ability to read pick tickets, packing lists, and labels; comfortable using a tablet or scanner.
• Experience with ERP/WMS or shipping software is a plus.
• Military veteran background is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Receive products using scanners and place them in correct rack locations.
• Pick, pack, box, and label orders accurately to carrier requirements.
• Operate labeler, boxing stations, and stage orders by carrier and cutoff time.
• Palletize and wrap outbound freight; load trucks and verify against the bill of lading.
• Operate stand-up forklifts to unload, put away, and stage product.
• Support cycle counts and keep ERP/shipping system in sync with floor.

Shipping Associate (Levels I–III) – Warehouse / Pick-Pack / Forklift – $17–$23/hr

Job Type: Full-time, on-site (in person)
Location: Dade City, FL 33525
Schedule: Monday–Friday, typically 7:30 AM–4:00 PM. Start and end times may shift earlier or later as needed, and some Saturdays are required.

What You’ll Do

• Receive productsusing scanners and place them in the correct rack locations.
• Pick, pack, box, and label customer and retailer orders accurately and to carrier requirements
• Run the labeler and boxing stations; stage orders by carrier and cutoff time (Level II+)
• Palletize and wrap outbound freight; load trucks and verify against the bill of lading (Level III)
• Operate stand-up forklifts to unload, put away, and stage product (Level III)
• Participate in cycle counts and record moves in our ERP/shipping system so the system matches the floor
• Inspect product and packaging; report damage, shortages, or mislabels right away
• Follow all safety rules, wear PPE, and keep your area clean and organized (5S)

• Shipping Associate I: No warehouse experience needed. You learn pick-pack, labeling, and our carrier and retailer rules. Move up by running the labeler or boxing station reliably with 90 days of solid attendance and 99.5%+ order accuracy.
• Shipping Associate II: You run the labeler and boxing stations, stage orders accurately, and help with inventory counts. Move up by earning forklift certification, completing QC per the bill of materials, and becoming the go-to person in 2 or more areas.
• Shipping Associate III: Certified forklift operator who receives products, scans products to put away, pick and pack correctly, loads trucks, troubleshoots the labeler, owns retailer compliance, and trains others.

Requirements

Must-have:

• 18+ with a high school diploma or GED
• Reliable transportation to Dade City
• Able to work the schedule above, including some Saturdays
• Able to read pick tickets, packing lists, and labels; comfortable using a tablet or scanner
• Willing to wear PPE and follow safety rules every day

Nice-to-have:

• Experience shipping to retailers (The Home Depot, Lowe’s, Walmart, Amazon) or with UPS/FedEx/LTL carriers
• Experience with an ERP, WMS, or shipping software
• Military veteran background

Physical Requirements

• Lift 50 lbs frequently and unassisted
• Stand and walk for a full shift; bend, reach, kneel, and climb
• Work in a warehouse that is not air-conditioned
• Work around non-hazardous chemicals while wearing the right PPE (we provide training and Safety Data Sheets)
