GroupeSTAHL is a leading international manufacturer and supplier in custom textile printing. We are looking for a Warehouse/Shipping Clerk to manage shipping and receiving, oversee stock, and maintain accurate records in our Michigan facility.

The role requires forklift experience, strong attention to detail, and proficiency with inventory systems. You will contribute to efficient workflow, ensure safe handling of materials, and support a collaborative IT-enabled logistics team.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of shipping/receiving processes, routes and rates.
• Experience with forklift or lift truck operation.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and perform physical inventory.
• Proficient in Microsoft Windows, Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Manage shipping and receiving, including staging, loading and unloading.
• Oversee stock and warehouse inventory; maintain the computer database.
• Perform physical inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies with vendors.
• Operate lift trucks and hand trucks to move items.
• Prepare shipments with proper packing materials and containers.
• Post inventory records to the tracking system and generate stock reports.
• Collaborate with team leaders and managers on process improvements.

What we do: GroupeSTAHL is a leading international manufacturer, distributor and direct supplier in the field of custom textile printing.

What you'll be doing:

Manage the shipping and receiving process to include but not be limited to staging, loading / unloading product. Oversee stock and warehouse inventory maintaining computer database into automated shipping / receiving system and recordkeeping for inventory.

• Compares identifying information and counts, weights, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of landing, invoices, orders or other records.
• Determine or fulfill customer request for methods of shipping, ensuring timely and accurate input of all freight information utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates; notify carriers and arrange for pickups in a timely manner.
• Prepare shipments, utilizing correct containers and proper packing material to ensure proper transportation without damage.
• Verify computer inventory by performing physical inventory counts as needed.
• Unpack and examine incoming shipments, reject damaged items, record shortages and correspond with shippers and vendors to rectify damages and shortages.
• Operate lift trucks and/or hand trucks to move and store equipment and stock, some manual lifting required.
• Develop, implement, and track effectiveness of quality improvement processes.
• Receive and record materials / items received placing appropriate markings on product with identifying information to ensure accurate customer requisition filling of work (customer) orders.
• Perform inventory control – monitor and replenish current products and materials and deplete obsolete materials; accurately post to inventory records in computer tracking system.
• Prepare all inventory and stock reports.
• Other duties / responsibilities as required.

What we are looking for:

• Knowledge of shipping / receiving process, routes and rates; inventory processes and controls.
• Experienced in mechanical repairs either by training and / or experience.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong basic math skills with a focus on accuracy and detail orientation.
• Computer literate in Microsoft Windows, Word and Excel.
• Operate automated shipping systems / inventory management systems.
• Experienced by work history and / or by formal training in forklift, lift truck and / or hand truck operation with full knowledge of all safety protocols.
• Ability to communicate and interact effectively with team leaders and managers.
• Strong organizational skills demonstrated through prior work record.
• Flexible to the demands of the team, department, and company needs as a whole and to the customer.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks under the pressure of timelines.
• Flexibility and a willingness to undertake greater responsibility as business planning may necessitate.
