Job summary

PlayCore in the United States (Michigan) is seeking a Shipping & Receiving Team Member to unload, stock, and move materials using a forklift, ensuring accurate records and on-time shipments. You will verify information against bills of lading and prepare bills of lading for customers.

This role requires forklift experience, basic math, ability to read documentation, and proficiency with MS Excel/Word/PowerPoint; familiarity with ERP systems is a plus, and strong teamwork and attention to detail

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Forklift experience is required.
• Proficiency with MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint; ability to learn an ERP system.
• Ability to read and interpret documents; tape measure use.

Responsibilities

• Unloads and stacks material using forklift.
• Loads or unloads materials up to 50 lbs.
• Replaces liquefied gas tank.
• Compares information against bills of lading, invoices or PO's.
• Affixes shipping labels on steel.
• Unpacks incoming shipments; records shortages; coordinates with shipper.
• Routes items to departments.
• Examines outgoing shipments to meet specs.
• Prepares customer bills of lading.
• Stages finished product for shipment and loads onto trucks.
• Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
• Maintains clean workspace.
• Performs other related duties as required.

• Unloads and stacks material using forklift
• Loads or unloads materials both with forklift and by hand up to 50 lbs
• Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items or incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, purchase orders, or other records.
• Affixes shipping labels on steel
• Unpacks and examines incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with shipper to rectify damages and shortages.
• Examines outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications
• Prepares customer bills of lading
• Stages finished product for shipment based on shipping schedule
• Loads finished product onto flatbed trucks for delivery to customers
• Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies
• Perform other related duties as required
