Now Hiring: Shipping & Receiving Supervisor – 1st Shift | Direct Hire

Schedule: 1st Shift | 4/36 Workweek – Half Days on Fridays

We are currently seeking a qualified Shipping & Receiving Supervisor to join our team in Oro Valley, Arizona. This is a direct hire opportunity offering a consistent 1st shift schedule with a 4/36 workweek and half days on Fridays. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, operational experience, and a solid understanding of FAA regulations or aerospace industry practices.

Position Summary:

The Shipping & Receiving Supervisor will be responsible for managing the daily operations of the Shipping and Receiving (S&R) department. This includes ensuring compliance with FAA requirements, coordinating material movement within the facility, and supporting inventory management processes. This role reports directly to the Senior Procurement Manager and oversees a team of direct reports.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise Shipping and Receiving personnel and day-to-day departmental activities
• Maintain accurate records and documentation for all S&R operations
• Collaborate with Buyer/Planners to meet material demands
• Manage S&R scheduling and expedite deliveries as needed
• Support visual management tools and ensure data accuracy
• Monitor Kanban systems, Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI), and coordinate with internal stakeholders
• Conduct and support inventory cycle counts and audits
• Maintain inventory accuracy and proper stockroom organization
• Ensure compliance with quality and safety procedures
• Train and develop team members to meet performance standards
• Support FAA compliance efforts and work with Quality and Compliance teams
• Identify and document non-conforming materials
• Operate in a safe and efficient manner while upholding company policies

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in shipping, receiving, or inventory operations
• Prior leadership or supervisory experience
• Experience in a Kanban or Lean Manufacturing environment preferred
• Familiarity with FAA regulations is highly preferred; aerospace industry experience required
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Access, MS Project)
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and carry up to 45 lbs
• Approximately 50 percent of the time sitting, 50 percent walking or standing
• Ability to push/pull carts, lift from floor or shelf, and perform light physical tasks
• Occasional bending, twisting, kneeling, and use of ladders or steps

Additional Requirements:

• Must be a U.S. citizen due to regulatory requirements
• Ability to pass drug and alcohol screenings as part of a Drug-Free Workplace policy
• Regular, punctual attendance and flexibility to work variable hours as needed
