Currently, we are seeking Shipping and Receiving Coordinator candidates for our Roanoke, VA operation. The Shipping and Receiving Coordinator is responsible for maintaining certain areas of materials such as, Dunnage, shipping, receiving, etc.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions**):

• Verifying all parts delivered with packing lists when shipments arrive at Plant and label received parts accordingly.
• File appropriate and required paperwork after received shipment.
• Receive parts into customer receiving system so parts can be verified by customer.
• Look for any discrepancies in shipments and fill out Receiving Audit form.
• Maintaining organized receiving area.
• Communicate with customer planners about part issues or discrepancies with shipments of materials.
• Compile audits for the current month and input the information into receiving.
• Participate in internal and customer inventory counts as needed or required.
• Be detail oriented. Cross train with Shipping Clerk and Shipping & Receiving Supervisor.
• Responsible for all activities pertaining to the Tool Crib.
• Receives, stores, and issues hand tools, Machine tools, Dies, Materials and equipment.
• Maintains safety stock of commonly used items based on historical consumption.
• Receives Item request form and issues RFP after quotes are received.
• Consumable items include but are not limited to, gloves, paint pens, torque seal, small hand tools, office supplies, lubricants, cleaning products, safety equipment, etc.
• This position will maintain professional relationships with vendors. Other duties as needed or required.

Requirements:

• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point)
• Excellent Communication Skills both verbally and through email
• High School Diploma
• 2 Years of Experience Working in an Office environment preferred
• Participation in Company programs and events
• Must be able to meet all customer requirements including mandatory overtime (including Saturday’s) as needed or required
