Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Ensures orders are prepared, packaged, and shipped accurately and efficiently.
• Plans, coordinates, and monitors the receipt, order assembly and dispatch of goods.
• Proficient use of automated and computerized systems where utilized.
• Responsible for keeping stock control systems up to date and ensuring inventory accuracy.
• Contributes to inventory control and monthly inventory audits.
• Maintains standards of safety, cleanliness, and security in the work environment.
• Maintains relationships with suppliers and transport companies.
• Partners with purchasing to ensure adequate inventory exists to meet delivery goals.
• Ensures the cleanliness of work areas and warehouse in general.

SUMMARY : The shipping and receiving clerk is responsible for ensuring warehouse operations meet delivery goals and ensure customer satisfaction.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :

• Ensures orders are prepared, packaged, and shipped accurately and efficiently.
• Studies shipping notices, invoices, orders and other records to determine shipping priorities, work assignments, and shipping methods required to meet shipping and receiving schedules.
• Plans, coordinates, and monitors the receipt, order assembly and dispatch of goods.
• Proficient use of automated and computerized systems where utilized.
• Responsible for keeping stock control systems up to date and ensuring inventory accuracy.
• Contributes to inventory control and monthly inventory audits.
• Maintains standards of safety, cleanliness, and security in the work environment.
• Maintains relationships with suppliers and transport companies.
• Partners with purchasing to ensure adequate inventory exists to meet delivery goals.
• Ensures the cleanliness of work areas and warehouse in general.
• Other duties as assigned by both manager and lead
