Job summary

Seaway Printing is seeking a Shipping and Receiving Clerk to manage incoming materials, verify against POs, and deliver to production using a forklift. You will prepare packing lists, update the shipping schedule, and occasionally drive to customer locations for delivery.

Responsibilities include organizing the dock, wrapping skids, calling carriers, and maintaining accurate records. A forklift license and a year of shipping/receiving experience are required.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Current drivers license with a clean driving record.
  • Valid forklift license or ability to pass license test on hire.
  • Basic mathematical skills.
  • Minimum of one year experience in warehouse shipping/receiving with shipping software, forklifts, skid wrappers, and straight trucks.

Responsibilities

  • Store material until needed by production then distribute materials to presses and other work areas as required.
  • Anticipate material needed at press by using production schedule to ensure material is staged and ready for use in the appropriate areas.
  • Remove waste products from production areas as necessary.
  • Move finished product to warehouse/shipping area until sent to customer.
  • Wrap skids of finished product securely to protect from damage while shipping.
  • Call shipping vendors to arrange for pickup by carrier for delivery to customer.
  • Prepare packing lists and bill of lading for each customer order and update shipping schedule.
  • Occasionally drive to pick up and deliver material.
  • Package and prepare products for outbound shipments.
  • Keep shipping dock and warehouse area clean and organized.

Job Summary:


This Shipping and Receiving Clerk position is responsible for receiving the incoming raw material and ensuring that the quantity received matches the bill of lading or packing slips. The position delivers material to production areas as required, operating a forklift and/or hand truck and updating the production scheduling system. The clerk will also package and prepare the finished product and may be required to drive the company truck or van for customer delivery.

Work hours: 2nd Shift, Monday to Friday, including every other Saturday, 2 pm to 10 pm (8 hours)
