Job summary

Penske Logistics LLC in Mesa, AZ is seeking a warehouse associate for a 3rd shift (Friday–Sunday) with a 36-hour schedule paid for 40 hours. The role requires handling of pallet tracking, driver logs, and routine documentation, with a weekend premium of $1.00/hr on top of $21.25/hr.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year warehousing or material-handling equipment experience.
• Prior inventory or receiving experience preferred.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience with warehouse management systems and scanners preferred.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
• Must be able to work varied schedule including weekends and overtime.
• Basic math skills and ability to follow directions.

Responsibilities

• Control flow of work to meet receiving and shipping times.
• Customer service acumen as the position is customer facing.
• Assist with daily/weekly operational reports.
• Up to 25% on the warehouse floor for receiving, etc.
• Work as part of a team to meet warehouse metrics.
• Learn new skills and take on additional responsibilities.
• Prioritize workload and adapt to immediate needs.
• Other tasks assigned by supervisor.

Position Summary

Responsible for the daily/weekly maintaining of pallet tracking (where applicable), audit of driver logs and trip reports, log. Liaison for internal customer support. Track all return goods as directed by the customer for close out of returns from the private fleet.

Pay

Major Responsibilities

Control the flow of work within the facility to meet receiving and shipping departure times while maintaining accuracy and KPI commitments

Requirement for customer service acumen as the position is customer facing

Experience with drivers/BOLs/Document handling preferred

Experience with daily scheduling of loads preferred

Must be able to multi-task in a high paced environment while being detail oriented

Must be able to prioritize and adjust to immediate workload requirements

Assist with daily/weekly operational reports

Ability to learn new skills and take on additional responsibilities

Up to 25% out on the warehouse floor, receiving, etc

Work as a member of a team, accomplish team goals and meet warehouse metrics

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of warehousing or material-handling (using hand/power tools and hand truck) equipment experience preferred
• Prior inventory or receiving experience preferred
• High School diploma or equivalent required
• Prior use of warehouse management systems and scanners preferred
• Basic computer skills and the ability to learn in-house systems required
• Must be able to work varied schedule including weekend and early morning shifts
• Flexible to work overtime required
• Ability to read, write, and speak English required
• Ability to follow directions, and basic math skills required
• Requires the ability to pay close attention to details, meet deadlines, and work with difficult individuals
