Job summary

Penske Logistics is seeking a shipping and receiving clerk to join a safety‑conscious, team‑oriented warehouse. You will handle inbound/outbound shipments, verify paperwork for all shipments, check in/out drivers, and manage BOLs using Blue Yonder and other systems.

The role offers a $22.00 base rate plus a $1.00 shift differential, with Monday to Thursday 4:00pm–2:30am. Benefits include PTO, medical, dental, vision, life, 401K, and associate discounts. Penske is an Equal Opportunity Employer.

Qualifications

• 1 year shipping/receiving experience preferred.
• 1 year of customer service experience required.
• Strong computer and mathematical skills required.
• Frequent interaction with warehouse workers and drivers.
• Must multi-task in a fast-paced environment and maintain confidentiality.
• Regular attendance is essential; willing to travel as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Process inbound and outbound shipments in the warehouse.
• Control the flow of work to meet departure and receiving times.
• Provide customer service and interact with drivers and customers on site.
• Communicate with leadership and troubleshoot issues on the floor.
• Use Outlook, Excel, and Blue Yonder for daily tasks.
• Assist with daily/weekly reports and warehouse metrics.

Penske Logistics is looking for shipping and receiving clerks to become part of an excellent team. This is a great opportunity for individuals who are safety conscious and have a pleasant, outgoing attitude who want to excel in a warehouse environment. Responsible for shipping and receiving procedures. Responsible for ensuring that the paperwork for all shipments leaving the distribution center is complete and accurate. You will check drivers in and out throughout day, handle bills of lading (BOL’s), and utilize various systems and frequently interact with warehouse personnel and carriers.

Position Details:

Monday to Thursday 4:00pm-2:30am

• $22.00 base rate + $1.00 shift differential

Major Responsibilities:

• Processing Inbound and Outbound shipments in the warehouse
• Control the flow of work to meet departure and receiving times
• Requirement for customer service acumen as the position is customer facing
• Must be able to multi-task in a high paced environment while being detail oriented
• Resolve discrepancies
• Communication with drivers, clamp truck operators, customers on site, and leadership team
• Daily use of Outlook, Excel, and Blue Yonder
• Respond to inventory issues from operators on the floor
• Ensuring system count matches physical inventory
• Resolve discrepancies at location and pallet level
• Interact with warehouse associates and trouble shoot issues
• Assist with daily and weekly reports
• Jointly work with Supervisors and Management to meet warehouse metrics
• Prioritize workload and have flexibility to adjust based on position requirements
• Other projects and tasks assigned by Supervisor

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• 1 year of shipping/receiving experience preferred
• 1 year of customer service experience required
• Strong computer and mathematical skills required
• Frequent interaction with warehouse workers with daily tasks, good interpersonal skills required
• Multi-tasking required, must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to maintain confidentiality is essential
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
• Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening.
