Job summary

Adient US LLC is seeking a detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Clerk to support material flow in a fast-paced automotive manufacturing environment. You will coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, manage trailer inventory, and maintain records to ensure timely material movement for production.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years shipping/receiving experience, strong Excel/Word skills, and forklift certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 2+ years of shipping and receiving experience in manufacturing.
• Experience with inventory management and logistics coordination.
• Experience with shipping documentation and receiving transactions.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and Word.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving and multitasking abilities.
• Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily shipping and receiving activities.
• Maintain route manifest logs.
• Verify shipping and receiving schedules.
• Process Advanced Shipping Notices (ASN) and enter transactions.
• Manage trailer inventory, dock, and yard.
• Track trailer movements and inventory records.
• Monitor expedited material and hot parts handling.
• Coordinate with warehouses, carriers, and suppliers.
• Maintain shipping documentation and tracking for returns.
• Report on transportation and trailer utilization.
• Support CTPAT compliance activities.
• Adhere to BOS shipping and transportation processes.
• Ensure health, safety and environmental compliance.
• Handle special projects and other duties as assigned.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Shipping & Receiving Clerk to support material flow and logistics operations in a fast-paced automotive manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for coordinating inbound and outbound shipments, managing trailer inventory, maintaining shipping and receiving records, and ensuring timely material movement to support production requirements. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, experience in shipping and receiving operations, and the ability to work independently while maintaining accuracy and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Daily shipping and receiving coordination
• Route manifest log maintenance
• Shipping and receiving schedule verification
• Advanced Shipping Notice(ASN)receipt processing and transaction entry
• Trailer inventory, dock, and yard management
• Trailer tracking and inventory recordkeeping
• Expedited material and hot parts tracking
• Warehouse, carrier, and supplier coordination
• Shipping documentation and returnable container tracking
• Transportation and trailer utilization reporting
• Customs Trade Partnership Against Terrorism(CTPAT)compliance support
• BOS shipping and transportation process adherence
• Health, safety, and environmental compliance
• Special projects and additional assigned duties

• Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification

Preferred:

• Automotive manufacturing experience
• Experience with MFG Pro or similar ERP systems
• Transportation, warehouse, and trailer management experience
• Knowledge of CTPAT and logistics compliance requirements

Salary Range

$50,000 - $55,000
