Job summary

Clarios is hiring a Shipping and Receiving Clerk / Forklift Operator for our Florence, KY plant. This 12-hour shift role covers day and night rotations, focusing on accurate shipping, receiving, and inventory control in a fast-paced, highly automated environment.

You will operate sit-down forklifts and related equipment, prepare bills of lading, record weights, route shipments to carriers, and support production with reliable material handling.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years forklift experience in manufacturing, shipping, or distribution.
• Ability to obtain forklift certification.
• Able to lift 50 lbs and perform repetitive physical tasks in a hot environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate sit-down forklift, tugger, hand-truck and other equipment to complete daily tasks.
• Assemble and prepare shipments in accordance with shipping requirements and specifications.
• Weigh and record weight on shipping orders; check shipments for accuracy.
• Prepare bills of lading and route shipments to carriers; verify against packing slips.
• Dispatch company vehicles and maintain inventory records.
• Report damages or shortages and assist in housekeeping duties.

Check shipments for correct material, packing, tagging, addressing, handling, and loading. Prepare bills of lading and other required forms. Route shipments, contact carriers. Verify shipments and receipts against packing slips and bills of lading. Route materials to storage. May dispatch company vehicles.* Make damage, shortage, etc. reports, make reports of shipments, prepare inventory reports.* May perform other handling, inventory, and housekeeping duties as assigned. May move materials, cartons, etc., with a forklift truck, hand truck, or skid mover as required. Good judgment and initiative are required to perform work accurately and efficiently.* Must have the ability to work well in a highly automated, fast-paced environment. Must be able to use RF scanners. Computer knowledge is a plus. Ability to load and unload trucks with a forklift is a plus. Prepare and check necessary receipts, records and reports.
