Job summary

Clarios in Florence, KY seeks a Forklift Operator to move finished molded parts and support a highly automated warehouse. You will operate sit-down forklifts and related equipment on 12-hour shifts, with a 2 on/2 off/3 on pattern, and occasional overtime.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year forklift experience in manufacturing, shipping, or distribution.
• Ability to obtain and maintain forklift certification.
• Comfortable with 12-hour shifts, weekends, and overtime as needed.
• Basic computer skills for inventory tracking.

Responsibilities

• Operate sit-down forklift, a tugger, a hand-truck, and other equipment to complete daily tasks and prepare shipments.
• Weigh and record weight on shipping orders; check materials, packing, labeling, and loading; prepare bills of lading; route shipments and contact carriers.
• Prepare inventory and damage reports; track receipts and reports; assist in various tasks as needed.

Forklift Operator

Location: Florence, KY

Pay

$21.32 per hour

Shift

• 12 hours shift 2,2,3 (2 on, 2 off, 3 on/ 2 off, 2 on, 3 off)
• 15 days per month every other weekend 3 days off.
• Days 6:45 am- 7:15 pm or Nights 6:45 pm- 7:15 am

Job Responsibilities

• Utilize a sit-down forklift, a tugger, a hand-truck, and other equipment as required to complete daily tasks. Assemble and prepare shipments in accordance with shipping requirements and specifications.
• Weigh and record weight on shipping orders. Check shipments for correct material, packing, tagging, addressing, handling, and loading. Prepare bills of lading and other required forms. Route shipments, contact carriers. Verify shipments and receipts against packing slips and bills of lading. Route materials to storage. May dispatch company vehicles.
• Make damage, shortage, etc. reports, make reports of shipments, prepare inventory reports.
• May perform other handling, inventory, and housekeeping duties as assigned. May move materials, cartons, etc., with a forklift truck, hand truck, or skid mover as required. Good judgment and initiative are required to perform work accurately and efficiently.
• Must have the ability to work well in a highly automated, fast-paced environment. Must be able to use RF scanners. Computer knowledge is a plus. Ability to load and unload trucks with a forklift is a plus. Prepare and check necessary receipts, records and reports. Observe methods of accomplishing work and learn operation of all equipment while assisting in various tasks.
• Must have at least 3 to 6 months’ experience on a sit-down forklift to transport finished molded parts to prescribed areas, shrink oven, etc. and to locations in warehouse.

Requirements

• Basic computer skills (inventory tracking, system inputs)
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. and perform repetitive physical tasks in a hot environment
• Must be able to wear required PPE
