Shipping and Receiving Assembler - Weekend Shift (FRI‑SUN)

Job Summary
SPX is a diverse team of unique individuals who all make an impact. As a Shipping and Receiving Assembler, you will prepare product for export and receive materials and goods needed for business. This position supports the Weekend Shift, which is a 3‑day workweek with 12‑hour shifts.
Responsibilities
- Receiving and sorting incoming goods and dispersing them to the proper personnel/department.
- Administer all paperwork associated with the department, packing slips, freight tickets, factory orders, and bills of lading.
- Validate all incoming and outgoing merchandise.
- Prepare all outgoing shipments in accordance with shipping standards for weight and crating specifications.
- Maintain UPS shipments and online system.
Experience, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education
- One to three months related experience and/or training.
Education & Certifications
- High school diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must be able to stand regularly; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. Frequently required to walk, talk or hear. Occasionally required to sit; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
- Must have vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
- Employee occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts; fumes or airborne particles; risk of electrical shock and vibration.
- Noise level in the work environment is usually very loud.
- Weekend shift: 3‑day workweek with 12‑hour shifts.
