Qualifications

• Forklift experience preferred; willing to complete training if needed.
• Knowledge of UPS WorldShip, FedEx and freight docs preferred.
• International and Hazmat shipping experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Verify outgoing shipments by counts, measurements, weights, packing slips, and bills of lading.
• Locate, pull, and pack products for shipment; maintain material inventory.
• Operate forklift/hand truck to move shipments within the facility.
• Inspect shipments to ensure carrier requirements are met.
• Unload incoming trucks and inspect for damage or discrepancies.
• Enter receiving data into the computer system and stock received materials.
• Keep a clean and organized work area; perform other duties as assigned.

Atlas Staffing is hiring a Shipping & Receiving Clerk for a manufacturing company in Nampa, Idaho.

Location: Nampa, Idaho
Employment: Monday – Friday (6:00am – 3:00pm)

Pay: $19.10 - $19.10/hr

We are seeking a dependable Shipping & Receiving Clerk to handle incoming and outgoing shipments, inventory movement, packaging, and warehouse organization. This position works closely with the purchasing department and requires accurate documentation, basic computer skills, and the ability to operate warehouse equipment.

Job Responsibilities

Shipping:

• Verify outgoing shipments by comparing item counts, measurements, weights, packing slips, and bills of lading.
• Locate and pull products and materials from inventory for shipment.
• Package materials for shipment using appropriate containers and packing materials.
• Inspect shipments to ensure they meet carrier requirements.
• Assemble cardboard or wooden shipping containers when needed.
• Apply shipping labels to cartons and crates.
• Maintain inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
• Operate a forklift and/or hand truck to move materials and shipments.

Receiving:

• Unload incoming trucks.
• Inspect incoming shipments for damage and report discrepancies.
• Verify quantities received against packing slips.
• Enter receiving information into the appropriate computer system.
• Locate and stock received materials in the warehouse.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Basic math skills and ability to use a calculator.
• Ability to read and interpret tape measures.
• Basic knowledge of shipping documentation.
• Basic hand tool experience.
• Experience with powered hand tools such as saws, drills, and nail guns.
• Previous forklift experience preferred.
• Current forklift certification preferred; must be willing to complete required training if needed.
• Knowledge of UPS WorldShip, FedEx, and motor freight documentation preferred.
• International and Hazmat shipping experience is a plus.
• Valid driver's license preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Regularly stand and walk throughout the workday.
• Frequently lift and move materials up to 25 lbs.
• Occasionally lift and move materials up to 50 lbs.
• May lift up to 100 lbs. with assistance.
• Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb, and reach as required.
• Work around moving mechanical equipment, noise, fumes, airborne particles, and varying weather conditions.
