Job summary

Wayne Metals LLC is seeking a shipping/receiving professional to ensure accurate, timely shipments and proper documentation in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Responsibilities include counting, inspecting, labeling, packing, scheduling deliveries, and maintaining inventory accuracy across plants. Forklift experience and CDL are a plus; proficiency with Word/Excel and basic computer skills are required.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Verbal and written communication skills required.
• Knowledge of metal fabrication processes is a plus.
• Fork-lift licensed driver; CDL license is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Ensure shipments to customers are accurate and timely.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Ship and receive product to customer satisfaction

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assure that shipments to customers are accurate and timely
• Verify accuracy of counts in incoming material with customer specifications
• Visual inspection of product before packaging for shipment
• Verifies weigh counting procedures and labeling have been done before shipment.
• Receive product and maintain records to document receipt
• Ship product per shipping schedule or upon demand
• Assure all shipping & receiving counts are accurate to maintain inventory accuracy
• Generate daily shipping log and invoices
• Generate internal reports as requested by manufacturing and other departments
• Maintain good housekeeping and organization of all inventory and warehouse areas
• Schedule deliveries to customers
• Schedule deliveries to and from outside vendors.
• Schedule company trucks
• Shuttle products between WM plants

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• High School graduate or equivalent
• Dependable work ethic and excellent attendance

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Verbal and written communication skills
• Computer skills: Visual, Word, Excel
• Knowledge of metal fabrication process
• Fork-lift licensed driver
• CDL licensed driver is a plus for this position.

ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Conform to all Wayne Metals, LLC environmental policies, programs and procedures.
• Conform to all State of Indiana laws and regulations.
• Report any environmental concerns to supervisor, Environmental Management Representative, or the Plant manager.
