Job summary

Zep Inc. in Chambersburg, PA is seeking a reliable warehouse associate to load/unload materials, secure pallets for shipment, and monitor wrapped goods on a non-climate-controlled production floor.

You will operate basic packaging equipment and support daily shipping tasks. The position requires forklift or pallet-jack experience, the ability to stand for long shifts, and a willingness to train on equipment.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment; two years’ experience preferred.
  • Ability to operate equipment in a safe and controlled manner.
  • Ability to stand for long shifts.
  • Previous forklift experience preferred.
  • Willingness to train on equipment such as forklifts and electric pallet jacks.
  • Basic hand dexterity and attention to detail.
  • Ability to lift, push/pull up to 50lbs, stack/unstack, or carry.
  • Comfortable in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.

Job Description:


  • Load/unload materials safely and efficiently.

  • Operate shrink-wrap or plastic-wrapping machines.

  • Securing pallets and products for shipment.

  • Inspect wrapped goods for tears or loose seals.

  • Replenishment processing.

  • Responsible for accurately loading and unloading trailers.

  • Check load contents for accuracy and secure materials.

  • Count and check products for accuracy and quality.

  • Operate material handling equipment, including pallet jack, forklift, etc.

  • Troubleshoot issues with packing equipment, wrapper machine, label machines, tapers, palletizers, etc.

  • Perform daily inspections on the forklift.
