Job summary

Fastenal Co. in Akron, OH is hiring part-time Shipping teammates to help move product through the distribution center. You'll organize outgoing orders, load trucks by hand, with pallet jack or forklift, and ensure proper labeling and documentation.

• Inspecting product for damage and documenting discrepancies.
• Sorting product into correct locations.
• Stacking product efficiently.
• Consolidating, loading and unloading shipments.
• Utilizing load truck reports to locate product for outgoing shipments.
• Ensuring proper load securement for transport.
• Verifying product is correctly labeled for easy identification and delivery.
• Maintaining the cleanliness and organization of work area.
• Complying with health, safety and sustainability rules and expectations.
• Participating in activities and programs that help the company achieve health, safety and sustainability objectives.
• Learning, passing, and practicing various environmental health and safety trainings.

OVERVIEW

Working as Part-time Shipping, you will help facilitate the movement of product throughout our distribution center. You will be responsible for organizing all outgoing orders, loading product into trucks by hand, pallet jack, or by forklift.
