Job summary

Simmons Pet Food is seeking a shift-based Shipper/Receiver position to operate an industrial forklift, manage inventory, and support production fulfillment. The role requires careful handling of goods, adherence to safety standards, and accurate lot tracking.

Experience with RFGEN and JDE is advantageous, along with basic math and English skills. Responsibilities include stocking, picking, verifying quantities, and maintaining a clean, compliant work area.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; basic math skills.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a forklift license.
• Ability to read, write and understand English.
• Basic computer literacy and familiarity with inventory systems.

Responsibilities

• Store and retrieve goods in the storage area, rotating stock so oldest materials are used first.
• Record items added or removed from inventory and report damaged cartons or containers.
• Prepare products for shipment by retrieving designated products and ensuring proper loading and sealing.
• Operate forklift to pick up, move, load and unload products safely, following guidelines.
• Perform daily safety inspections and report any equipment issues to supervisor for repairs.
• Maintain clean and orderly work area, assist with labeling and lot tracking using RFGEN/JDE.
• Consolidate pallets and assist team to improve efficiency.
• Read and follow production schedules and adhere to storage design principles.
