Job summary

Simmons Foods, Inc. is seeking a Shipper/Receiver to handle inbound and outbound materials using an industrial forklift and RFGEN system. You will rotate stock, label inventory, and ensure accurate lot tracking while following safety procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain forklift license.
• Read, write, speak, and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Store and retrieve goods; rotate stock to use oldest materials first.
• Prepare products for shipment; ensure proper loading and sealing.
• Use forklift and RFGEN for inventory tracking; follow lot numbers and schedules.
• Perform daily safety inspections and report issues to supervisor.
• Change forklift batteries or fuel; troubleshoot repairs as needed.
• Maintain clean, safe work area and adhere to storage principles.
• Create product labels; read lot numbers, expiration dates, ingredients; enter data into systems.
• Record information into computer programs; monitor required reports.
• Use basic tools; consolidate pallets as directed by supervisor.
• Maneuver forklift in tight spaces while keeping a safe zone for others.
• Participate in team meetings; promote BEST practices and cohesive teamwork.
• Familiarize with Simmons operating systems and policies.
• Perform other duties as necessary to support business objectives.
• Physical ability to lift up to 75 lbs; work in extreme temperatures; PPE provided.
