Job summary

Eaton is hiring a Shipper/Receiver I for the 1st shift at our Weathers St site in Youngsville, NC. The role involves sorting, verifying, and routing shipments, using SAP, and performing quality checks to meet Eaton’s standards.

You will operate RF devices, prepare shipments, and coordinate with the shipping office, drivers, and carriers. Requires basic manufacturing/warehouse experience and a HS diploma; some overtime may apply.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in manufacturing, logistics, or warehouse environments.
• High School Diploma or GED from an accredited school.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Relocation assistance is not available; within 50 miles of the facility preferred; Active-Duty Military candidates exempt.

Responsibilities

• Sort, verify, record, and route incoming and outgoing shipments.
• Operate and read hand-held RF units to locate material and allocate it.
• Use SAP to process all incoming and outgoing freight.
• Prepare items for shipment by assembling containers, posting weights, and printing paperwork.
• Interface with shipping office, customer service, drivers, and carriers to ensure proper delivery.
• Report irregularities or equipment malfunctions.
• Become forklift-certified to transport and locate equipment and materials.

Eaton’s ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a Shipper/Receiver - 1st Shift at our Weathers St site in Youngsville, NC.

The pay rate for this position is $19.00 per hour.

Hours are 7:00a-3:30p M/TH and 7:00a-3:00p Fri.

What You’ll Do

The Shipper/Receiver I provides manufacturing expertise and support including but not limited to, sorting, verifying, recording, and routing incoming and outgoing shipments.

In This Role

• You will show a strong adherence to quality by continually seeking methods of improvement for all the position's functions. You will ensure that all products and parts adequately meet Eaton’s quality guidelines as they move throughout the shipping, or receiving, process and perform quality checks as instructed.
• You will operate and read hand-held RF units to find, move and allocate material
• You will use a resource management system (SAP) to process all incoming and outgoing freight.
• You will prepare items for shipment by assembling containers, posting weights and affixing proper postage and paperwork.
• You will interface with the shipping office, customer service, drivers, and carriers to ensure proper delivery.
• You will report irregularities, or equipment malfunctions
• You will become certified in operation of forklifts to transport and locate equipment and materials to required areas

Qualifications

Basic (Required) Qualifications

• Minimum of two years experience in a manufacturing, logistics or warehouse environment including order selection, packing, and receiving processes
• High School Diploma or GED from an accredited school
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship
• Relocation assistance is not available for this position, only candidate within a 50 mile radius of the facility will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience using SAP, warehouse management system
• Basic understanding of Microsoft applications (for example Excel)

Position Criteria

• Ability to use good judgment when handling material, with a safety focus
• Ability to work daily and/or weekend overtime, willingness to flex to different areas or local plants as needed
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time. Repetitive lifting, bending, and squatting is inherent to this position.
