Job summary

Quaker Houghton is seeking a logistics-focused associate to execute shipping and receiving tasks, ensuring timely delivery of products. The role also includes light production duties to support on-time manufacturing and uphold high standards of quality, safety, and customer service.

Responsibilities include loading/unloading trucks, tracking inventory, storing materials, and maintaining a clean, safe facility.

Position Summary

This position will focus primarily on shipping and receiving responsibilities. Additional responsibilities for performing occasional, light production duties to ensure on-time production and shipment of product while adhering to high standards of quality, safety and customer service.

Job Responsibilities

• Loading and unloading trucks and moving finished goods/raw materials throughout facilities, including the use of fork trucks.
• Assist in tracking material inventory and performing inventory counts.
• Store and retrieve raw materials, finished goods, and supplies in the warehouse.
• Clean up spills of non-hazardous items.
• Prepare and inspect drums/bins, etc. for shipment.
• Assist in maintaining a clean and safe facility through performance of general housekeeping duties.
• Confirm paperwork is complete for all shipments and correct when needed.
• Loading and unloading of overseas containers.

Education/Experience

• High school diploma/GED
• Previous shipping and receiving preferred
• 1-2 years of related chemical manufacturing experience preferred

Physical Demands

• Ability to move drums up to 500 pounds with mechanical equipment in a safe manner as directed.
• May be required to lift up to 50 pounds
• May be required to stand for long periods and walk great distances daily
• Routinely required to use hands to finger, handle or feel and reach with hands and arms.
• May be required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl and talk or hear
• May be required to work in small spaces and high locations
