Job summary

Dawn Foods in Denver, CO is seeking a Shipper/Receiver to support distribution warehouse activities including receiving, storing, selecting, shipping, dispatching and delivery for timely and accurate order fulfillment.

The role requires operating forklifts and pallet jacks, lifting up to 50+ pounds, standing for long periods, and overtime as needed. We offer health insurance, 401(k) with company match, paid holidays, PTO, and career growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of related experience or 1 full year non-related employment experience.
• Must be able to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly.
• Ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, electric rider jacks, electric pallet jacks, trailer lift gates and pallet wrap machines.
• Must tolerate potential allergens: peanut, egg, dairy, gluten, wheat and soy.
• Stand, walk, and maneuver in a warehouse environment; ability to climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl.
• Available to work overtime as required.

Responsibilities

• Select, palletize, and shrink wrap orders for delivery.
• Receive and stock inbound product; rotate and replenish stock.
• Safely load trailers in an even and productive fashion.
• Operate handheld computers and SAP scanning devices for warehouse ops.
• Maintain cleanliness and practice safe food handling procedures.
• Perform related duties as needed; support Team Dawn and Circle of Excellence.

Shift Schedule

• Monday – Thursday
• 9:00 am - 7:00 pm (or until finished)
• Overtime and Weekends required based on business needs.

Job Purpose And Overview

As a Shipper/Receiver you will participate in the distribution warehouse activities related to receiving, storing, selecting, shipping, dispatching, and delivery of products to ensure effective and efficient warehouse operations and product transportation.

What Does It Take to be a Shipper/Receiver at Dawn Foods?

• Ability to operate a forklift, pallet jack, electric rider jacks, electric pallet jacks, trailer lift gates and pallet wrap machines
• Minimum 6 months of related experience or 1 full year non-related employment experience
• Must be able to lift 50+ pound repeatedly
• Must be able to tolerate potential allergens: peanut products, egg, dairy, gluten, wheat, and soy.
• Ability to stand and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Ability to withstand cool and/or cold temperatures
• Available to work overtime as required

What will you do as a Shipper/Receiver at Dawn Foods?

• Correctly select, palletize, and shrink wrap customers’ orders preparing them for delivery.
• Receive and stock inbound product in its designated locations. Rotate and replenish current stock in its designated locations.
• Safely load trailers in an even and productive fashion.
• Ability to understand and operate handheld computer and scanning devices for SAP that is used for all aspects of warehouse operations.
• Maintain cleanliness of entire warehouse and practice safe food handling procedures.
• Perform other related duties incidental to work described herein.
• Support the Circle of Excellence and the Dawn Philosophy of Team Dawn.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to grasp, move, or utilize objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to use sensory perception for quality measurement of products.
• The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 80 pounds and frequently lift and/or move 50 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus.
