Job summary

Dawn Foods in Louisville is seeking a Shipper/Receiver to support warehouse operations including receiving, stocking, picking, and shipping of bakery products. You will operate forklifts and handheld SAP scanners, ensure accurate order fulfillment, and maintain safety and cleanliness in a fast-paced facility.

This role requires lifting 50+ pounds, standing for long periods, and willingness to work Sundays through Thursdays with a 3:00 pm–11:30 pm shift and overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Select, palletize, and shrink wrap customer orders for delivery.
• Receive and stock inbound product in designated locations; rotate stock.
• Load trailers safely and efficiently.
• Operate handheld SAP scanner for warehouse operations.
• Maintain warehouse cleanliness and follow safe food handling procedures.
• Perform other duties as needed and support Dawn Circle of Excellence.

Shift Schedule

• Sunday - Thursday
• 3:00 pm - 11:30 pm (or until finished)
• Overtime and Weekends required based on business needs.

Job Purpose and Overview

As a Shipper/Receiver you will participate in the distribution warehouse activities related to receiving, storing, selecting, shipping, dispatching, and delivery of products to ensure effective and efficient warehouse operations and product transportation.

Qualifications

• Ability to operate a forklift, pallet jack, electric rider jacks, electric pallet jacks, trailer lift gates and pallet wrap machines
• Minimum 6 months of related experience or 1 full year non‑related employment experience
• Must be able to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly
• Must be able to tolerate potential allergens: peanut products, egg, dairy, gluten, wheat, and soy.
• Ability to stand and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Ability to withstand cool and/or cold temperatures
• Available to work overtime as required

Responsibilities

• Correctly select, palletize, and shrink wrap customers' orders preparing them for delivery.
• Receive and stock inbound product in its designated locations. Rotate and replenish current stock in its designated locations.
• Safely load trailers in an even and productive fashion.
• Ability to understand and operate handheld computer and scanning devices for SAP that is used for all aspects of warehouse operations.
• Maintain cleanliness of entire warehouse and practice safe food handling procedures.
• Perform other related duties incidental to work described herein.
• Support the Circle of Excellence and the Dawn Philosophy of Team Dawn.
