Job summary

Rihm Family Companies in Minnesota is seeking a detail‑oriented Shipper/Receiver to ensure timely shipment of orders and accurate parts check‑in. You will pick, package and ship products to customers and suppliers, inspect incoming parts, and stock shelves according to our processes.

The role requires forklift operation, ability to lift up to 100 lbs, and coordination with freight carriers to negotiate shipping rates.

Qualifications

• Ability to safely operate forklift and pallet jack
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in packing and shipping
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficient with basic computer and shipping software

Responsibilities

• Efficiently pick, package and ship products to customers and suppliers according to company procedures
• Inspect, check-in and stock shelves with incoming parts
• Compare parts received against packing lists to verify shipment accuracy
• Move heavy items using forklifts, pallet jacks and wheel carts
• Assist with inventory cycle counts and organizing stock
• Negotiate shipping rates with freight companies and couriers
• File damaged goods claims when applicable and schedule forklift maintenance
• Prepare and ship returns and cores as required
• May assist delivery drivers when needed
