Job summary

Orion Castings in North Billerica, MA, is seeking personnel for the shipping department to move parts across the facility, coordinate inbound and outbound materials, and ensure production readiness. Entry-level opportunities with on‑the‑job training are available.

Responsibilities include material handling, shipping/receiving duties, and inventory reconciliation in a fast-paced environment. Strong math, lifting ability, and solid English communication are required.

Qualifications

• Strong basic math competency (multiplication and division)
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Stand for 8 hours on feet with frequent bending, lifting, and moving
• Strong command of English, both written and verbal

Responsibilities

• Material handling – moving parts throughout the facility using pallet jacks, fork trucks, etc.
• Shipping – packing and organizing parts for shipments, loading trucks, completing required paperwork, ensuring proper documentation, etc.
• Receiving – unloading trucks, verifying proper documentation, etc.
• Inventory and reconciliation

Operating out of our 300,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in North Billerica, MA, we provide large-scale, precision contract manufacturing for the aerospace, medical device, robotics, and defense industries.

Opportunity (Located in North Billerica, MA)

The shipping department is responsible for the movement of material inside the facility as well as the coordination of material outside, whether it is incoming from a supplier or outgoing to a customer. It works very closely with the manufacturing departments to ensure that parts are available when needed at every stage of production. It is an integral part of Cambridge’s fast-paced, dynamic environment. Experience is preferred; but entry-level positions are available. Ample on-the-job training is provided and advancement opportunities inside and outside of the department are ample.

Compensation & Schedule

• Compensation Range: $20.00 per hour
• Schedule: First Shift | 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM | Monday to Friday
