Job summary

Valmont Industries in Valley, NE, seeks a Warehouse Shipper A to join the Valley Structures Shipping team. You will gather and load parts on trailers, inspect products for coating defects, and operate packing/shipping equipment while maintaining a safe, productive environment.

You will read order pick lists, use measuring tools, and may advance to Shipper B within 24 months. Forklift experience and ability to lift up to 50 lbs are required.

Qualifications

• One year of prior warehouse or manufacturing experience is required.
• One year of forklift experience is required.
• Ability to identify below-standard products and communicate with management.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow work instructions.

Responsibilities

• Closely inspect products for finishing or coating defects during packing.
• Maintain and operate packing and shipping equipment safely and securely.
• Read order pick lists and recognize major parts by sight.

The incumbent in this position must be highly motivated and self-driven to complete individual orders throughout the shift while maintaining a safe and productive working environment. This incumbent is also responsible for ensuring that the customer receives quality products by watching the finish or coating while the product is being packed.
