Job summary

Allegion is seeking a detail-oriented shipping associate to support production with packing and shipment tasks. You will verify items against orders, direct packing and crating as needed, and ensure correct labeling and counting in a fast-paced environment.

We value accuracy, ability to follow directions, and teamwork. The role involves standing for long periods, working with noise and heavy equipment, and overtime as production demands.

Primary Duties

• Check products to be shipped against shipping order to insure proper amounts, identification, and correct materials
• Instruct Packers and Craters what type of packing and crating are necessary to insure safe transportation for both domestic and export shipments
• Instruct paintline loaders the proper order in which to hang a job so that items will be properly identified and accounted for
• Follow standardized work rules

Work Environment

• Continuous or near continuous exposure to noise levels >80 db
• Frequent exposure to temperature extremes, moving objects and material handling equipment (forklifts)
• Occasional exposure to humid/arid conditions, mechanical hazards, sunlight/UV exposure, fumes, dust, mists, gases, allergens, and insect bites

Physical Demands

• Must have the ability to speak and hear clearly
• Must be able to see well including depth perception and the ability to distinguish between colors
• Requires frequent (4 or more hours per day): standing, balancing, and kneeling
• Occasional walking, sitting, lifting (max 50 lbs), carrying (25-50 lbs), pushing & pulling heavy carts, stooping, twisting, and reaching (overhead and to the side) may be required

8 hour shifts M-F with weekend and daily overtime hours as required for production
