Job summary

Allegion is hiring a Packer for Door Package at Stanley Access Technologies in Farmington, CT (On-Site). The role focuses on inspecting, packing, and labeling aluminum entrance assemblies for shipment, with a 2nd shift (3:30 PM–12:00 AM) option.

You'll work with doors, jambs, thresholds, and hardware, ensuring safe packaging and accurate documentation. Candidates should have forklift experience and strong attention to detail, plus solid communication and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in material distribution, inventory, supply chain, or manufacturing.
  • Forklift experience required, forklift certification preferred
  • Demonstrated computer experience in Microsoft Office applications and MRPI/ERP type systems
  • Excellent Customer Service Skills; display a professional ‘can do’ attitude
  • Strong organizational skills with close attention to detail and prioritizing multiple tasks along with meeting deadlines
  • Independently show judgment; self-starter dedicated to continuous process improvement
  • Detail-oriented, accurate, dependable and willing to accept a wide variety of assignments
  • Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement tools experience
  • Experience with MRP systems and processing inventory transactions
  • Comfortable operating a forklift for moving inventory
  • Strong computer skills and ability to learn new software quickly
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret inventory data and reports
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong math skills
  • Follow all safety requirements and keep work area clean and orderly

Responsibilities

  • Inspect and layout finished doors, components and sub-assemblies in order to pack complete aluminum entrance packages.
  • Remove door panels from storage rack, test and inspect for fit and function as required by checklist.
  • Remove and package doors and assemblies such as jambs, thresholds, inserts, hardware and screw packs and package in appropriate container according to prescribed methods.
  • Apply protective materials to insure safe shipment.
  • Tape or wrap container as required and apply appropriate identification.
  • Pack extrusions for shipment to finishing vendors.
  • Open and store incoming shipments of extrusions.
  • Maintain a clean orderly work area.

What You Will Do:

What You Will Need To Succeed:
  • 2+ years of experience in material distribution, inventory, supply chain, or manufacturing.

  • Consistently demonstrate independent judgment and initiative; driven self-started dedicated to continuous process improvement
