Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum one year experience as a structural fitter.
• Be able to perform simple paper work as required for filling out forms and logs.

Responsibilities

• Lay out, position, align and fit fabricated structural steel plate according to customer specifications and Foreman/Supervisor directions.
• Move parts into position manually, by hoist or crane, and align using jacks.
• Tack weld as necessary and coordinate with welders to build up low spots or short pieces.
• Consult with foreman or supervisor regarding installation, sequence of operations, and time required.
• Attend safety meetings and maintain a safe working environment.
