Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology, Inc. in Norfolk, VA is seeking a Shipbuilding Project/Task Supervisor to provide technical, administrative, and operational leadership to assigned task(s), including contract and subcontractor management.

You will supervise staff, participate in developing technical project plans, proposals, and reports, and serve as a primary customer liaison while coordinating deliverables and ensuring quality assurance.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of related experience, including supervisory experience.
• US Citizenship required.
• Secret clearance may be required; GDIT sponsors candidates.

Shipbuilding Project/Task Supervisor

• Provides technical, administrative, and operational leadership to assigned task(s), including contract and subcontractor management.
• Supervises assigned staff.
• Participates in the development of technical project plans, proposals, reports, and task order and administrative reporting.
• May perform high-level technical services on assigned task(s).
• Conducts planning and provides recommendations to customer on task workload.
• Attends customer meetings and may serve as primary customer liaison.
• Interacts with vendors, other agencies, and other Government staff on behalf of the customer.
• Coordinates development of deliverables and products.
• Ensures quality assurance of project deliverables.
• Participates in special projects, as required.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in a related business or technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience.

Experience

5-8 years of related experience, including supervisory experience.

Security Clearance

US Citizenship Required. Some positions on this contract require a Secret security clearance. GDIT will sponsor qualified candidates who do not currently hold a clearance, subject to the requirements of the position and the applicable clearance process.

Compensation and Benefits

The likely salary range for this position is $85,093 - $109,250. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
