Job summary

Amentum is seeking a hands-on technician to operate and maintain SURTASS surveillance systems aboard ships for six-month assignments, with duties at sea and in port. You will deploy and maintain equipment, stand watch in the Operations Center, and document activities using the WILD system, while collaborating with a team and developing technical skills.

Minimum requirements include US citizenship, ability to obtain a Secret clearance, a high school diploma or GED, and an interest in IT or

Qualifications

• Must be able to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
• US citizenship required to obtain Secret clearance.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Basic interest in IT, electronics, car maintenance, or general engineering.
• Associates degree preferred.
• Experience with maintenance logs or inventory tracking (WILD) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and maintain equipment: assist with deploying/recovering systems and perform routine maintenance.
• Operate and monitor systems: stand watch to ensure data is transmitted and processed properly.
• Troubleshooting, documentation, and logistics: maintain logs, track inventory, and complete required reports.
• Collaborate and communicate: work with technicians and supervisors and coordinate after training.
