Job summary

Mission Technologies, a division of HII, seeks a Software Integration Engineer to support the ATD system onboard a shipboard training environment in Virginia Beach, VA. This on-site role requires coordinating across developers, testers, and network teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment.

You will work in a highly skilled team delivering high-fidelity mission training with Linux/Windows environments, automation, and cross-platform interoperability. U.S.

Qualifications

• 2 years relevant experience with Bachelor's in related field; 0 years with Masters; or 6 years with HS equivalent.
• Experience integrating, configuring, and troubleshooting software across Windows and Linux.
• Strong familiarity with Windows and Linux CLI and admin tools.
• Working knowledge of C++ and Java for debugging and integration troubleshooting.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum workflows.
• Ability to obtain DoD IAT Level II cert within 3 months; U.S. citizen; DoD Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Integrate software across Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Analyze requirements for compatibility and interoperability.
• Develop integration plans, workflows and documentation for deployment and validation.
• Configure and test components for multiple target environments.
• Troubleshoot dependencies, OS configurations, and network interactions.
• Collaborate with dev, systems and network teams on integration activities.
• Implement and maintain automation tools to streamline deployment.
• Support version control and environment consistency across platforms.
• Ensure applications meet performance, security, and compliance requirements.
• Provide on-site support during installations, upgrades and acceptance testing (up to 10% travel).
• Perform related duties as assigned.
