Johnson Controls Navy Systems is seeking a Journeyman HVAC Chiller Mechanic for our Norfolk, VA area Federal Systems team. The role focuses on maintenance and service of shipboard chilled water HVAC and related equipment for U.S. Navy and Coast Guard vessels.

You will diagnose, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on large industrial HVAC systems, with some electrical/controls work. U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain government clearances are required.

Formación

• 5+ years of commercial and/or industrial HVAC experience with mechanical troubleshooting and service experience.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• US citizen with the ability to obtain/maintain required government clearances and badges.
• Mechanical Journeyman license.

Responsabilidades

• Responsible for maintenance and service of Chilled Water Air Conditioning Plants, Refrigeration Systems and other large equipment for U.S. Navy and Coast Guard vessels.
• Completes assigned maintenance and service duties; inspecting, diagnosing, servicing, repair and preventive maintenance of HVAC equipment.
• Troubleshoots and resolves primarily HVAC mechanical problems, and some electrical/controls issues.
• Responds to service and warranty calls.
• Inspects, diagnoses, services and repairs mechanical systems using various tools and instruments.
• Performs prescribed preventative maintenance including belt adjustments, oiling, greasing and cleaning of equipment.
