Program Summary

The Marine Corps' Prepositioning (MCPP) Program is based on Blount Island in Jacksonville, Florida, with duty assignment aboard a ship in Guam, Saipan, or Diego Garcia. We provide maintenance and logistics services to the U.S. Marine Corps (USMC) and U.S. Navy. We are seeking a Shipboard Mechanic (Motor Transport).

Job Summary

Maintains, services, inspects, and repairs combustion-powered automotive vehicles, over-the-road trucks, light combat vehicles, and other motor transport equipment. Performs additional tasks as assigned.

Basic Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Certificate from a vocational school or recognized source in electrical or automotive repair preferred. Equivalent experience or training may be considered.
  • 5 years of directly related work experience.
  • Completion of automotive mechanics courses or equivalents.
  • Must maintain a valid passport and State Motor Vehicle Operator License.
  • Ability to adhere to established methods, standards, and schedules.
  • U.S. Citizen.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a CAC, base access, and a Secret Clearance.
