Job summary

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Mechanical Systems Engineer for our Forest, VA location. The role focuses on designing, testing, and integrating shipboard systems with mechanical, electrical, and computing components to meet customer requirements.

This position requires U.S. citizenship, potential travel, and the ability to obtain a Secret clearance. You will work with experienced engineers, interact with vendors, and document results adhering to established procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering required; dual degree in Electrical Engineering preferred.
• Minimum 4 years of related experience (or graduate degree with 2 years).
• U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Work with experienced engineers and provide oversight as experience grows.
• Design, test, troubleshoot, and implement shipboard mechanical systems.
• Communicate with vendors and customers; document results per procedures.
