Job summary

HII Mission Technologies at Pearl Harbor seeks a Marine Welder/Mechanic to perform welding and mechanical maintenance and training for shipboard personnel on USN Surface Ships. Experience with MIG and Brazing is required; ability to read complex drawings and ship manuals is essential.

You will provide tools, work with customers, and may lead multiple projects in a demanding environment. The role requires High School/Trade School, 8+ years shipboard experience, and capability to obtain a DOD

Qualifications

High School education or trade school with 8+ years related experience.
Experience as Shipboard Marine Welder (MIG and Brazing) with 8+ years shipboard maintenance/repair.
Ability to read and interpret equipment and systems, ship drawings and manuals.
Must provide own hand tools as designated per trades specialty.

Responsibilities

Perform welding and mechanical maintenance and training to assist shipboard personnel in operation, maintenance, and repair of engineering systems/equipment onboard USN Surface Ships.
Master understanding of production and processes.
Interface with customers, manage subcontractors, and provide work direction to others.
May manage one or more jobs and perform non-routine tasks.
