Job summary

Emprise Corporation in Chesapeake, VA is seeking a Program Support Engineer to oversee and ensure quality control of shipboard automated maintenance management systems for government and commercial clients.

The role requires 4+ years as a Port Engineer or related vessel regulatory experience, DoD clearance eligibility, SME for SAMM modules, and strong problem-solving and communication skills to train shipboard personnel and support data quality initiatives.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Engineering Technology, Data Analysis, or related field.
• 4+ years as a government or commercial Port Engineer or exposure to vessel regulatory compliance.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance.
• Strong research, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• Strong verbal, written, and communication skills; highly organized and detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Program Support Engineer assigned to customer programs.
• Consult to Shipboard Management Team; work with afloat and ashore teams in lifecycle management of vessels.
• Be SME for SAMM Ashore and Afloat modules; own technical issues and drive resolution.
• Assist customer in troubleshooting and navigating maintenance support modules.
• Assist with work package development and documentation during shipyard availabilities.
• Review POAMS and other shipyard data for quality and policy compliance.
• Train shipboard personnel on maintenance management software; document work and prepare debriefs.
• Track vessel maintenance activities; report on compliance and efficiency; support Port and Ship Engineers.
