Job summary

Noblis seeks an Engineering Technician based in Norfolk, Virginia to support U.S. Navy machinery control and shipboard systems for Arleigh Burke-class destroyers. This on-site role involves waterfront installation, checkout, testing, and V&V of modernized Machinery Control Systems.

The candidate will work 10-hour days during ship availabilities, with some weekend shifts and potential travel required. A DoD clearance is required or eligible.

Qualifications

• Active DoD Secret clearance or ability to obtain one; U.S. citizenship required.
• On-site Norfolk, VA work location aboard ships and at shipyards.
• Read and understand electrical schematics; troubleshoot control systems.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot machinery control systems using test equipment and schematics.
• Provide shipboard test and V&V support for all system variants.
• Support installation, checkout, and testing of MCS software/hardware.
• Document testing, troubleshooting steps, and findings clearly.
