Job summary

Chevron USA - Marine seeks an entry-level Galley Utility/Messman to support galley and steward operations aboard one of its US Flag vessels. The role requires current USCG Merchant Mariner Documents with VPDSD endorsements, a valid TWIC and a USCG/STCW medical certificate, plus a valid passport and basic training certificates.

The position involves routine shipboard duties, sanitation, meal service support, and safety participation.

Qualifications

• Current USCG Merchant Mariner Documents with Food Handling and VPDSD endorsements.
• Valid USCG/STCW Medical Certificate.
• Valid Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC).
• Basic Training Certificates.
• Valid Passport.

Responsibilities

• Routine galley and mess duties, including cleaning of staterooms, public spaces and passageways; stocking laundry rooms; sanitation of heads; manage ship’s linen and trash.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of steward areas; assist with meal service; wash and store dishes; stock mess room and receive stores.
• Perform general cleanup after meals and ensure sanitary conditions of mess rooms and equipment.
